You could lessen the chill this holiday season by warming a deserving HoCo kid’s heart.

For more than 20 years, the Howard County Police Foundation and Police Department have worked together to ensure that many of of our county’s disadvantaged youth have a happy holiday season. Children in grades K-5 who are often homeless or whose families are struggling to make ends meet, are invited to attend a holiday party every December sponsored by the foundation. They celebrate the season with officers playing games and doing crafts. The children enjoy a warm meal and are given a holiday present containing winter necessities (coat, gloves, hat, shirt) plus a craft and toy.
